Universes Beyond is one of the best things to happen to Magic: The Gathering in years. Before longtime players and collectors swat me, hear me out. Magic has two major problems; the steep learning and imtimidation factor and cost of entry. Getting into something as big as Magic is a lot to take on for a lot of people, and individual card values and legacy sealed product pricing can get out of control.
Licenced sets like Marvel’s Spider-Man provide a gateway for spidey-fans and a decent buy in to the TCG, including people who aren’t really into the fantasy aesthetic or just want a solid TCG for their favorite franchise.

Mayhem and Web Encounters are two new major mechanics whilst focusing on new creatures and legendary creature cards like Spider-Man, Miles Morales, Venom, and Green Goblin, not to mention hot picks from the Spider-Verse.
